Where are you located?

I have two locations for your convenience:

180 South Broadway, Suite 202 White Plains, NY 10605

45 Popham Road, Suite D Scarsdale, NY 10583

What do I do to get started?

Send me an email, and let’s set a time for a free 15- to 20-minute phone consultation. If we’re a good fit, I’ll let you know my first availability.

How do we start working together?

Just reach out by phone or email! We’ll then set up a free 20-minute consultation to decide if we’re a good fit.

Because therapy is an investment of time, money, and energy, finding the “right” someone is essential. You’ll tell me why you’re seeking therapy and what you want to get out of it. Then, I’ll explain my style.

If we’re a good fit, we’ll set up your first appointment. If not, no worries!

I’ll help you connect with someone else who might be. The most important thing is finding the right person for you.

How does payment for therapy work?

Payment is collected at the time of the appointment. I accept cash, check, or credit card. I can keep a card securely on file for billing convenience.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, if your insurance offers out-of-network coverage. I’ll provide you with all the information you need to be reimbursed for at least a portion of your sessions.

To find out the specifics of your plan, call your insurance provider and ask the following questions:

  • Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
  • Do I have a deductible and has it been met?
  • How many mental health sessions per calendar year does my insurance plan cover?
  • How much does my plan cover for an out-of-network mental health provider?

I offer only out-of-network coverage because, using that type of coverage, your records are not subject to the same disclosure requirements as those of network providers.

Using this method allows you to keep your therapy private.

Why pay privately?

Private pay allows you to receive treatment without adding a diagnosis to your permanent record or having to send detailed notes about your personal life, fears, hopes and dreams to your insurance company.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you must cancel, I require a 24-hour advance notice in the form of a text, email, or phone call. Otherwise, you will be charged for the full session.

How long does therapy last?

I offer both short- and long-term options.

In your first session, we’ll begin to devise a plan tailored to your needs at that time, and we’ll continue to re-evaluate through the process.

What can I expect?

Each session is 45 minutes long, with an option for extended sessions, if needed.

During that time, the space is yours to discuss and process the events of your life. I’ll help keep you moving toward your goals while giving you clinically sound encouragement to explore new goals, concerns, or fears as needed.

How do sessions work?

You’re in control of your session. I have no hidden agenda.

Each session is a new opportunity for you to address your immediate concerns and obstacles while balancing your initial goals and desired outcomes. Working this way, you can propel toward your goals in a timely manner.

Do you offer video or phone sessions?

Yes, absolutely! It’s important to have your session even if you can’t be here in person.

What are your specialties?

I specialize in anxiety, depression, perinatal mood disorders, pre- and post- adoption counseling, and new motherhood.
